David E. Carter, Executive Director of the American Pixel Academy, has invited David Lyons to be part of the judging panel for the 2010 EMPixx Awards. David has accepted this honor and will be one of several esteemed entertainment industry colleagues judging this year's competition. Lyons was the winner of 4 Platinum EMPixx Awards in 2009.

In 2006, David Lyons was hospitalized and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 47. David, a former bodybuilder and health club owner, exercised regularly and lived a healthy lifestyle. He was devastated by the diagnosis and frustrated by the physical limitations of his condition. His initial MS attack left him with partial paralysis, tightness, pain and numbness in his extremities and back. These common symptoms of MS come and go without warning. David also lives in a constant state of fatigue caused by this disease attacking his nervous system.

David has spent his time since his diagnosis fighting the disease and WINNING! Through diet, training to compete in an NPC body building competition, his will and his faith, David has succeeded in keeping his disease in check.
